Description

As a Remote Medical Customer Service Specialist at Community Health Systems – Shared Services Center- Fort Smith, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our purpose to help people get well and live healthier by providing safe, quality healthcare, building enduring relationships with our patients, and providing value for the people and communities we serve. The orientation and training is Monday - Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm CST for approximately 3 weeks. The normal working hours at Monday - Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm AZ MST.

Required Experience: 

  • 1+ years of medical revenue cycle experience 

Preferred Experience:

  • 2+ years of medical revenue cycle experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to review and identify issues from calls into the telephony system in a timely manner. (50%)
  • Maintain a working knowledge of workflow systems in order to properly assign follow up dates , department requests, and notate appropriately. (10%)
  • Ensure all calls within business hours are answered and handled appropriately while providing exceptionally high customer service to callers within company guidelines. (10%)
  • Ability to perform payment transactions and request payment from accounts reflecting a balance. (10%)
  • Assist with clerical duties as needed such as email, facsimile, etc. (10%)
  • Requires close supervision and guidance from the supervisor. (10%)
